Valentine's decorations

After Christmas, I left this small artificial tree up and decorated it with winter theme things.
Now that it's February, I switched it out to hearts for Valentines Day.

Nothing is new. I made the felt and sequin hearts years ago and my mom crocheted the hearts several years ago.
The postcards belonged to my grandparents in law.m
Braeden likes the decorations, he called the little cherubs "babies"
He liked stacking the foam and plastic hearts in the candy dish.
He will really be excited when he figures out that real candy comes with the actual holiday.

  1. Bless his little heart. There is so much to learn at that age and they soak all the info up like a sponge. Love what you did with your little tree. I keep saying I'm gonna do something similar but time just slips away and next thing you know it is past.

  2. So cute! I guess I need to pull out the Valentine stuff put it out so I can enjoy it, rather than leaving it in a box in the closet to just collect dust. Thanks for the reminder!

  5. Oh what a great idea Rhonda! I love my little tabletop feather tinsel tree and only put it away, very reluctantly, last week. If only I'd thought to decorate it for Valentines! Will you share this post at Five Star Frugal this week? Mimi xxx

  9. Rhonda I love the hearts on your tree! I really love Valentines Day. I think it can be sweet for everyone in the family. I am making heart shaped biscuits (cookies) and plotting a few surprises for my husband.
I love hearts, so I have heart shaped pie dishes, cake tins and cookie cutters. Really I use them all year round but more at this time of year.
This year I am making a celebration for an old lady in a nursing home. I am making a heart garland to decorate her room. Just to make it a bit more cheery. I hope you have a lovely week.xxx
